Build More than PaintingsâŚ
Build an Art Habit
Join the Art Habit Membership and make the next six months your most consistent, creative season yet.
You want to make art more than just something you do when life slows down.
You want a practice that actually fits into your real life.
One that survives busy weeks, low energy days, and the moments when motivation dips.
The Art Habit Membership helps you:
Show up consistently, even when life gets busy
Get unstuck when you hit roadblocks or lose momentum
Build an art practice that feels natural, doable, and non-negotiable
This is about making art a regular part of your life, not another thing you start and abandon.
"I went from being someone who did art at class on Saturdays and random acts of art during the week (you know, when everything else is doneâŚ) to this year in 2026 being someone who has done art every single day, except 2 days when I had business travel!â
- Michelle D.
Who the Membership is For
The Art Habit Membership helps self-taught artists become confident, self-directed painters by building a consistent art practice, strengthening fundamental skills, and learning to paint without depending on tutorials.
This membership isnât about talent, productivity, or âdoing more.â
Itâs about building structure, support, and systems so you can keep showing up over the long haulâŚand learn to paint like you.
This is for you if:
You love making art but struggle to do it consistently
You start strong, then slowly drift away when life gets full
You seem to put everything else before your art
You want guidance, accountability, and encouragement without pressure
Youâre tired of feeling like youâre always âstarting overâ
You want to be able to build paintings without having to rely on a tutorial
Whether youâre just getting back into art or trying to make your practice stick for good, the membership meets you where you are and helps you move forward.
âThe value in Kelly's program lies in breaking down the process for me. Do I want to focus on shapes, value, drawing, etc. Kelly helps you to take a sometimes complex reference and break it down into parts. Giving the self taught artist bite sized challenges to advance their skills while polishing our unique styles. Approachable without judgement, Kelly has done the homework so you can avoid ruminating and get working on your artistic work.â

Why This Is a 6-Month Commitment
Building a real art habit doesnât happen in a weekend.
It happens through repetition, adjustment, and showing up again after things get messy.
Thatâs why the Art Habit Membership is a 6-month commitment.
Six months gives you enough time to:
Try different ways of working and see what actually fits your life
Move past the ânew and excitingâ phase into something sustainable
Miss days, get back on track, and learn how to recover without quitting
Build trust with yourself that your art practice wonât disappear the next time life gets busy
This isnât about locking you into something you canât escape.
Itâs about giving your art practice enough time and stability to take root.
Most people donât fail at art because they lack ability or passion. They stop because they never stay in one place long enough to let the habit form.
The 6-month structure gives you space to:
Learn
Experiment
Adjust
And keep going
Even when motivation dips.
At the end of six months, you wonât just have more artwork.
Youâll have a clearer process, stronger habits, and the confidence that you know how to keep showing up.
âI now have a consistent art habit of doing studio work for at least 20 minutes, usually more, every day.
This has led me to understand watercolors, acrylics, drawing, composition, value structures and color swatching at a deeper, more intentional level.
I feel more confident, less judgmental when my work is not âprettyâ or does not meet my expectations. I now have a solid practice and exploration I can feel good about. I take myself seriously as an artist but lightheartedly. What I enjoy most is sharing my work with our members and understanding that we all share similar challenges. Thank you Kelly, this is exactly what I needed.â

Whatâs Inside the Art Habit Membership
Hereâs what youâll get inside:
⨠Monthly Art Challenges
Each month youâll be invited into a focused, low-overwhelm challenge designed to help you build consistency and skill.
These challenges give you clear direction without requiring huge blocks of time or complicated planning.
Upcoming Challenge include:
Drawing Tools Challenge: Explore 4 different types of drawing to help you see better and feel more free in your work. (August Challenge)
Edge and Form Challenge: Learn how to navigate hard, soft, and lost edges to create form and interest.
Work from Life Challenge: Learn how to set up simple still life scenes so you can paint from life. (September Challenge)
You donât need to complete everything perfectly. The goal is to keep moving.
âThe monthly challenges help me grow. I've only been in the group a couple of months, but the February Shapes challenge helped me learn how to dissect an image to break down the shapes. I'm still not entirely sure how to use this superpower, but spending a whole month developing those skills and seeing how others approached the same exercises was very valuable.â
- Alys T.
⨠20for20 Art Challenges (Included)
Several times a year, members get access to the 20for20 Art Challenge: 20 minutes a day, for 20 days.
This is one of the simplest and most effective ways to build momentum and rebuild trust with your art practice. Members are automatically enrolled when a challenge runs.
No prior experience required.
⨠Live Monthly Accountability & Coaching Calls
Each month we meet live to check in, reflect, and troubleshoot whatâs getting in the way of your practice.
You can:
Ask questions
Get feedback
Re-adjust your plan when life changes
Leave with clarity about what to focus on next
These calls are about support, not pressure.
⨠Community & Ongoing Support
Youâll be part of a group of artists who understand what itâs like to juggle real life and creative goals.
Inside the community, you can:
Share wins (big or small)
Ask questions when youâre stuck
Get encouragement when motivation dips
Remember that youâre not doing this alone
âThe Art Habit Membership has become an important part of my artistic development. It provides a welcoming space to ask questions, share my work, and connect with other artists. There is no pressure to show up daily or even weekly; instead, Kelly has built a safe, flexible environment for creatives to develop and grow. Between the extensive library of exercises and the insightful artist interview podcasts, the resources are truly invaluable.
I especially value our monthly Zoom meetings for the direct connection they offer.
Most of all, I appreciate Kellyâs expert guidance and the incredible support of this community -- you can tell she truly values this space and wants every single member to experience success.â - Shannon C.

Why Join Now?
Starting is hard.
Starting again is even harder.
Most artists donât quit because they donât care. They quit because they donât have support, structure, or a plan that fits their life.
The Art Habit Membership gives you:
A reason to keep showing up
A place to land when things go off track
A way to make steady progress without burning out
This isnât about perfection.
Itâs about progress.
Month by month, youâll build a practice you can actually sustain. And that consistency is what makes you an artist.
"Compared to other courses or memberships I've seen and participated in, this feels authentic and committed to the learner/member."
